Education

Explore additional nonprofit focused on Breast Density Education and Awareness.

Dense Breast - info is the world’s leading website about dense breasts. It is a medically sourced tool formed by breast imaging experts and medical reviewers to help guide the discussion of the question: “ I have dense breast…now what?”

It provides educational brochures to patients about breast density, CME classes for physicians and up to date information about legislative movements for breast density notification.

My Density Matters was founded by a Stage IV Breast Cancer Thriver Leslie Yerger who was diagnosed a few weeks after a normal mammogram. She created her nonprofit to spread awareness about breast density so that her story would not become your story.

Are you Dense was formed by Dr. Nancy Capello and her husband Joe Cappello. Nancy was diagnosed in 2004 with stage 3 breast cancer a few months after a normal mammogram. She started the movement that mandated Breast Density Notification Laws and has done significant work in Breast density education. Since her passing in 2019 her husband has continued the organization and created an Are You Dense Advocacy chapter to help lead the legislative change needed to overcome this health care disparity.
